After performing a Community Needs Assessment, we see a great need to grow our education and resource program! This program exists because we want to see babies born into strong and healthy families. Wholeness and unity in the family unit have great potential to cause a positive shift within our culture. 

We are growing by bringing the parenting and life skill classes back in person. We will continue to compassionately serve mothers and women who face unplanned pregnancies, but we will also intentionally invite fathers to join this program. We desire to empower men through intentional relationships and equipping them with practical skills. This is in addition to the current opportunities that we provide for college scholarships and career assessments, as well as material items like diapers, wipes, formula, car seats and other necessary items. 

This desire to expand the education and resource program comes with a need for additional space… and the Lord has provided! So, we are excited to announce that Alternatives will be expanding it’s space in order to grow our program. Moving our education program allows the medical clinic to remain in its current space and creates more opportunities for us to expand both programs!

Would you like to help us as we step into this exciting season? There are three main ways that you can come alongside Alternatives: You can partner with us with your time, your finances, and your prayers. 

Time 

• You can give of your time as an educational facilitator. The role of an Educational Facilitator is to build ongoing relationships with parents in the community by facilitating pre-planned lessons through our education platform. If you have excellent interpersonal skills, as well as a deep desire to see wholeness in families, would you consider coming alongside Alternatives in this capacity? 

 

• You can also give of your time as a remodel volunteer. While we are so grateful for the new space that the Lord has given us, there is work to be done to maximize the space for future growth of the education and resource program. We are in need of architects, contractors, electricians, etc. If you would like to be a part of this in any capacity, please email holiver@amc-ca.com. 

Finances 

• We are in need of individuals and organizations that will come alongside us to fund the current programs and future growth of the organization. We need one time donations and monthly donors. We are seeking 100 donors that will commit to giving a monthly gift of $25. Click here to give! 

Prayer 

• Game Changers is a men’s prayer group that prays for Alternatives Medical Clinic, other pregnancy centers, and the battle for life. This prayer group meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month from 7-7:45pm. For additional information, email Geoff McMillen at gmcmillen@cannongroup.com.
